Chapter Two: The Letter
Harry woke up the next morning still lying on the floor. Once Harry remembered why he was on the ground, he stood up only to be knocked down by a blow to the head. He looked up and heard a "Whoosh" go by his head as a flash of black nearly clocked him again. By the time the black streak was coming up for a third hit, Harry finally realized what was happening. Harry shot is hand up in front of his face and caught the little black owl in his hand. The black owl hooted happily as Harry let it go. It then presided to get a drink from Hedwig's drinking trough (Harry was thankful Hedwig was still asleep some how, other wise she would have a major fit) as Harry noticed the black box on Harry's bed.
The box had a letter attached to it but there were no seams on the box from what Harry could tell on closer inspection. He immediately noticed the hand writing on the letter. The strange thing was he didn't recognize it. It was quick, but neat, and it was written in blood red ink.
All that was written on the envelope was "Harry". The weird thing about the writing was that it looked strangely familiar, like he had seen it out of the corner of his eye. He then moved to open the letter then stopped. This letter could hold some curse inside of it just waiting to be blown up.
Harry then looked at the owl, which he now took into consideration. He realized that it was Pigwigeon! Harry's best friend Ron must have dyed Pig black! "But Ron doesn't have neat writing like this" Harry thought. Then it clicked. This was either some joke from Fred and George, or it was a letter from Ginny, Ron's little sister.
Harry then relaxed and opened the letter. It was blank! Harry then flipped it on the other side and found a note. It was so small Harry had to squint. It read:
Dear Harry,
This is Fred and George Weasley speaking. We give you a fond hello and goodbye as you read this letter. We have made a new gag that you would love if it wasn't being played on you right now Harry... (as Harry read this he took three large steps away from the box on his bed, afraid it might explode in his face like the fourth of July) ... Ginny has written you a letter (which we might add you would like to read, but alas, we all don't get what we want), but unfortunately, we made the ink invisible. Now, the only way you can make it uninvisible is if you douse this paper with a special liquid in the box, then burn the paper. Don't be scared to burn it, it won't damage the paper, but you might want to do it outside because the muggles would probably get angry at you if they saw you burning paper that doesn't burn in their kitchen. The only problem is that in order to get to the liquid you have to beat the box. You may not understand what we're saying, but you will soon. All you have to do to start the game is touch the box and say "Challenges". Good Luck, you'll need it!
Happy Christmas,
Fred and George
P.S.
Don't try to break the box or you'll be sorry!
