Author's Note:
I submitted this to The Dark Arts becauise it wasn't funny, romantic, or really long at the moment, I guess TDA is also a place for all the rest. I've submitted this chapter before, and now I'm back on track, there were a couple of errors, they have been corrected. Sorry this chapter is so short, I hope that future chapters will be longer.

Chapter One: On the Train

Harry was sitting on the Hogwarts Express, waiting for a new year at Hogwarts to begin. Though Ron and Hermione were both there in the compartment with him, he was not talking to either of them. He was thinking about Sirius, his death had caused Harry the worst summer ever. He sat up in his room all summer, requesting that all food be sent in through the cat-flap that had been installed 5 summers ago, blaming himself for Sirius' death, crying, reading, and studying an Occlumency book that he had bought, determined to keep Voldemort out of his mind forever. Even the Dursleys had been worried. He now zoned back into where he was now, on the train, with his two best friends.

"So... Erm... How have your summers been?" he asked quietly, trying to make conversation between the three of them. Harry knew where they both had been, even though he refused to accept any owls this summer, from anyone. Hermione had been in France; Ron had been visiting Charlie, and exploring Romania with him.

"Mine was pretty good, I missed talking to you though," Hermione replied.

"Same here," said Ron.

"Hey, Harry, while I was in France again this summer I met a girl from Beauxbatons, the weird thing about it was that she reminded me so much of you. She had green eyes, black hair, glasses, the same birthday as you; she was also an orphan, living at a wizarding orphan home during the holidays. There was something else, but I can't quite put my finger on it."

"So that's what I am, is it, an orphan?" Harry replied.

"No, Harry, that's not what I meant at all. I just meant that she lost her parents too, at only a year old, to... to... to... Voldemort," she whispered the last word as she spoke, because she had not yet gotten used to saying his proper name.

Harry replied with a soft, oh, and then went on, "Hermione, what was her name?"

"Her name? Well that's what I found most coincidental, her name, it was Brianna Potter."

At the mention of the last name of Potter, Ron gave a little squeak and fell out of his seat.

Meanwhile, Ginny and Luna were sitting in another compartment when a soft knock came from the outside of the compartment door, moments later, a girls' head then popped in. She looked to be about 15, but neither Ginny nor Luna had ever seen her before.

"Hullo, may I come in? Everywhere else is full," she asked meekly.

"Of course, we have plenty of room," replied Ginny.

"So who are you? I've never seen you around here before," asked Luna promptly.

"Me? Oh, I'm Brie. I've just transferred here from Beauxbatons, and I just turned 16."

"Oh, so why did you transfer to Hogwarts?" questioned Luna.

"Well, I got an owl from Professor Dumbledore, requesting that I spend my last two years of school at Hogwarts. I then sent his letter to Madam Maxine asking her what I should do. She sent me a letter back saying that I was to go to Hogwarts and that everything would be explained once I was settled in there."
