Author's Note:
This is my frist fanfic...tell me what you think. [And, yes, three of the main characters are completely out of my imagination]

Once, there was a chubby little Slytherin named Faythe. She was in her fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The famous Harry Potter was in his fifth year as well, but they never spoke. Not that Faythe would have wanted to; being a Slytherin and proud follower of Voldemort, she despised the foul little creature. There was little she did not despise. She despised Dumbledore, for being such a fool; she despised not having immediate access to the Restricted Section, and she despised Professor Trelawny for being. . .Professor Trelawny. She despised almost all the other fifth years, for most showed a pattern of returning from break with newly coloured hair and skimpy outfits for Hogsmeade visits, while she remained the same as she has since her return from Christmas Holiday’s in her third year. Same long black hair, same deep purple eyes and the same pale skin. Not that she disliked the way she looked, she simply disliked the way the others thought they were the only thing beautiful in that school. With the exception of her friends, there was little keeping Faythe at Hogwarts.

And so, one stormy day at the castle, it all began. She was headed for the dungeons for her last class of the day, Potions. She glanced at her schedule and noted that she was stuck with the Gryffindors today. She turned to her friend Julia.

“We’re with the Gryffindors again.”

Julia just shook her head, obviously as disgusted with the pairing as Faythe was. Neither one of them could even mildly tolerate Harry Potter, and therein that matter was the whole reason they had even begun chatting one day. Sitting on the train as first years, neither knew each other. When Harry walked past, they both made faces, and upon noticing each other’s discontentment with the boy, began talking. They had been great friends ever since.

Walking into Potions, they each flashed a minor smile at Snape. Taking their seats at the back of the class, they got out their quills and parchment just as Potter and his two friends walked in. Snape glared at them and the Slytherins snickered.

“You’re late. Ten points from Gryffindor for each of you,” Snape told them as they took their seats.

Julia leaned over towards Faythe, saying “You’d think they would have learned by now. . .”

As with every class, it flew by for Faythe because she and Julia were always paired together. And so, leaving the dungeons, they almost walked into Potter.

“Watch where you’re going!” Julia exclaimed at him.

Potter shook his head and continued on his way, Ron and Hermione following behind hurriedly. Leaning against the wall and waiting for the perfect moment, Faythe stuck her foot out just as the Mudblood came past. Her and Julia snickered as Granger fell to the floor, face down, her stuff strewing everywhere. Faythe and Julia walked past, and as they were passing the mess of scattered school supplies, Faythe stuck the heel of her boots down on a rather nice-looking quill, snapping it in half.

“Oops,” Faythe said cattily, walking off with Julia.
