"I just want to feel real love

Fill the home that I live in

Cause I got too much life

Running through my veins

Going to waste

And I need to feel real love

In a life ever after

I cannot get enough."

Ginny stared dully at the house of cards that sat in front of her. Since Harry had run out of the library she had been feeling a little sorry for herself. It was almost as if they were having some sort of romantic moment and then Harry ruined it by getting scared off. 'Why was Harry so scared of me?' Ginny wondered. Was Harry scared of encouraging her affections when he didn't return them? Did Harry already have a girlfriend? Ginny sat with her hand under her chin and looked dully around the library. It was almost time to eat dinner in the Great Hall. Ginny's stomach like it was twisting into knots after her encounter with Harry. She doubted she could face him after what had happened. Ginny decided to close the library early.

"Right, ladies and gents. It's almost time to eat dinner. You're gonna have to clear out so I can close up." Ginny watched as students reluctantly packed their things up and left the library. Ginny grabbed her cloak and keys and walked to the library's door. She locked the door and pulled on her cloak. Feeling quite sorry for herself and a little on the ugly side, Ginny decided to skip dinner and go to bed early. She watched as students poured of the house entrances to eat dinner in the Great Hall. Quite a few students smiled and waved at her or called hello. Ginny returned their smiles and greetings, but hurried off to her room.

At last she arrived at her room, where she opened her door and collapsed on her bed. It always amazed Ginny that when something went wrong, how easily you could feel exhausted. Ginny quickly unlaced her boots and pulled them off her feet. Ginny looked around her room and said "Nox". Her lights went out and Ginny quickly fell asleep.

In the Great Hall, Harry sat at the teacher's table. He kept his eyes on the door, waiting to see Ginny enter the room. He wanted to see her, to see if she was angry about what had happened in the library. The meal began and still Ginny did not show up. Draco entered the hall looking tired and thoroughly harassed, followed by Snape. Draco smiled grimly at Harry and sat down next to him.

"What's up, Potter? How was flying? As exciting as our first lesson was?" Draco smirked at Harry and picked up his fork.

"Nah, no one acted like a jackass and stole someone's rememberall." Harry said shortly, avoiding Draco's eyes.

"What crawled up your ass? Usually you're up for a little verbal sparring with me?" Draco put down his fork and looked over at Harry.

"Nothing, I'm just tired is all." Harry decided that Ginny wasn't coming to dinner and worried that he was the cause of that. Wanting to distract Draco from playing amateur analyst, Harry began to eat.

"Wait a minute, someone's missing." Draco looked up and down the table, looking for Ginny. "Where's our friend Virginia?"

Harry gulped down some pumpkin juice and said, "I dunno. Maybe she's ill."

"Already? Sheesh, I'm the one who got torn off a strip by Snape. I should be the one feeling ill." Draco grabbed a slice of bread and buttered it. "Thankfully, I feel fine." He took a large bite of the bread and smiled at Harry. Harry was disgusted by Draco's utter lack of table manners.

"Draco, I know you have table manners. What's going on?" Harry noticed Draco was sloppily eating his meal.

Draco leaned close to Harry and Harry could smell his breath. "Ogden's Old Firewhiskey. I was quite depressed after talking to Snape. I miss Parvati too."

"Jeez, I think your breath is getting me drunk. You have gotta drink some coffee or water. You're going to be ill in the morning." Harry waved a hand in front of his face, trying to keep Draco's breath out of his face.

Draco's face suddenly turned green and he looked like he might throw up. Harry noticed this and quickly grabbed Draco to escort him to the nearest bathroom. Draco leaned heavily on Harry as they walked out of the hall to the bathrooms. Harry pushed the door of the nearest stall open and shoved Draco in to let him vomit. Draco threw up and knelt on the floor, breathing heavily. He still looked green and Harry was worried about him.

"I think you should go see Madame Pomfrey." Harry said as Draco walked out of the stall and splashed some cold water on his face.

"Are you mad? She'll tell Dumbledore I've been drinking." Draco sighed and looked at himself in the mirror. "Ugh, I look like a ghost. I can't go back in there Harry. I'll vomit if I ever see food again!" Draco looked desperately at Harry.

"Right, we'll take you to your room and tell everyone you have the flu. That'll explain your coloring and why you had to suddenly leave." Harry grabbed Draco around the shoulders and began helping him walk out of the bathroom. Draco weaved a bit, unsteady on his feet. Harry felt a bit sorry for him. "Why did you get so pissed anyway? Was it just Snape?"

"Nah. I miss Parvati loads. And then when Snape and I had our 'chat' it reminded me of when my dad used to get mad at me. I started thinking about him and the more I thought, the guiltier I became. The drinking just came along with it." Draco leaned against the wall for support. "He deserves to be in Azkaban, I know it. But I still awful for betraying my family like that. He's my dad and I love him." Draco began crying and wiping his tears on Harry's shoulder.

"Draco, your father was Voldemort's right hand man. He did awful things; he was pressuring you to do awful things. You did the right thing. You can still love him, but you shouldn't feel like you betrayed him. He betrayed you by asking you to do some unforgivable stuff." Harry found himself dragging a sobbing Draco to his door. "Draco, I don't have the key for your room. Where's your key?"

Draco felt around in his cloak pocket and unsteadily tried to fit the key into the lock. He kept missing the lock and finally Harry grabbed the key from him. As Harry was unlocking the door, Draco suddenly roused from his stupor and began yelling for Ginny.

"Ginny! Virginia Weasley! Come out here and play!" Draco slurred his words and began pounding on her door, which was nearby.

Harry hurried over to Draco and pulled him away from Ginny's door. "Shhhh, Draco. She's not there. She's in the library. Why are you calling for her?"

"Harry, what you need is a good shag. I bet Ginny would shag you senseless." Draco leaned into Harry's face and whispered loudly. "She's a redhead. I know from experience redheads are real firecrackers in bed." Draco began to laugh and entered his room. Harry was about to follow him in, when the door slammed in his face and was locked. Harry kicked the base of the door and called Draco a couple of choice names before he walked away from the door and back to the Great Hall.

Ginny waited until she could no longer hear his footsteps. It was then that she opened the door. Draco's yelling had woken her up, but she hadn't wanted to open the door and face Harry with her swollen eyes and tear stained face. Ginny peeked her face out of the door and checked to make sure Harry was gone. Then she went back into her room and locked it. It seemed this day was depressing for everyone.
