Follow In Their Footsteps

Lily and James, rivals-extraordinaire, receive a peculiar bit of news (to downplay it just a bit) after a dangerous encounter. Harry and Ginny, casual acqaintances, get the same piece of news during his seventh year. They uncover the truth about Lily and James, and find out why everything happened like it did. And they have to work together to bring about the unthinkable, while going through the most emotionally-tolling experience ever concieved by man. Can two barely-friends become comfortable around each other for the sake of their loved ones? Will Sirius ever grow up? When will Harry and Ginny both stop trying to be so noble? Why did Dumbledore even show them that stupid green thing to begin with? Set in two time periods.

Chapter Two: Set in present (Harry's) time. Between Quidditch practice, shady underclassmen, late-night Astronomy tests, and unexpected danger, will Harry ever have enough time to get some sleep? Apparently not. Be there when Harry and Ginny recieve the shocking news that Dumbledore reveals to them in the Hostpital Wing. They have to do WHAT? They hardly know each other! What is this secret about Lily and James? Did they really marry for love? And how will they deal with all this extra stress?

Chapter Three: Lily and James are in the hospital wing, and they have a lot on their minds. How on earth could Dumbledore ask something like this of them? Sirius pays them a visit to make the situation a tad more comical, and Lily and James come to a decision in order to mask their situation.

Ginny Weasley awakes in the Hospital wing after her and Harry's encounter with Lord Voldemort. Hilarity ensues as the two of them experience awkward moments and realize that the thing that is bringing them together will ultimately ruin both of their lives. Follow in Lily and James' footsteps? It's just too bad that they're both so damn noble. Is either one of them ever going to just stand up and say, "I think not!"? Will they both sacrifice their futures to do the unthinkable...and actually raise a child?
