When the big portrait of the Fat Lady swung open, Ginny stepped in, tripped and almost fell onto the floor. The students in the common room merely looked up to see who it was. Ginny quickly straightened up and smoothed her robes. Ron caught sight of her and came over to her. He looked worried and a little father-like. It didn't suit him.
"Where the bloody hell have you been, Gin? We've looked all over for you, you weren't at breakfast," he said accusingly. Ginny blushed and lowered her head in shame.
"I had my last detention this morning," she replied quietly, thinking about Draco and the kissing, blushing immediately. Ron laid an arm around her shoulders and sighed.
"Oh, in that case....But you know it's not a good thing, detentions."
"Ron, come on! You know it isn't that bad. I told you I didn't do anything and..."
"My little sis, I can never be mad at you for a long time. It's a curse, you know." He stroked her hair and smiled at her. She felt herself relax. Ron was such a nice person. She gave him her most adorable smile and hugged him.
"I know, Ron," she said. "How was Quidditch practice? I'm sorry I missed it." She saw Draco in her head, flying on a broomstick. The wind blowing in his hair and...she shook the thought out of her head. Ron gave her an odd look.
"Well, we went through our new tactics again and then Harry gave a long lecture about the next game which is on Friday." Ginny gasped and let go of him.
"Friday? But that's in six days! Oh, I'll have to practice a lot," she burst out. Damn, she thought. But before Ron could answer, Harry came over to them. Ginny swallowed.
He looked good. His eyes were bright and his look was sharp. His messy black hair was messier than ever.
"Ginny, why did you miss practice this morning? You know Saturday practice is important," he said as he reached them. Ginny looked down at her feet.
"Well, heh...I had my last detention and..." ...kissed Draco Malfoy.
"Ginny! Detention again?" Harry was apparently very upset about the fact. Ginny bit her lip and lowered her head for the second time. Harry opened his mouth to say something again, but Ron broke in.
"Harry, calm down. Ginny had some trouble with Snape and Malfoy. I told you last week. And then she had to serve some detentions with Malfoy. It wasn't that bad, now, was it, Gin?" he said, patting Ginny's arm. Ginny shook her head in agreement and met Harry's eyes. Her heart jumped when his eyes fixed on hers. Harry looked unconvinced and annoyed. And jealous?
"So, Malfoy's not that bad, now? I bet he's a gorgeous guy and all, but Ginny, come on. He's a Malfoy, remember? I can't believe this...." Harry flung his arms in the air and turned and stalked away, leaving Ginny and Ron looking very confused. Ron turned to his sister.
"What's wrong with him?"
"Hey, don't look at me, I don't know."

The sun was shining brightly and it was a beautiful day. Draco, however, did not enjoy the sunshine. He was sitting under an enormous oak by the lake, thinking. The shadow the tree gave eased the unbearable heat and the mild winds chilled his skin. Draco looked at the lake, the iron-coloured surface was still and calm. But it was not the lake that was on his mind. No, it was the girl, Ginny Weasley. Oh, that name, that girl, haunted his dreams. But he could not make himself hate her like he would do with anyone else. This girl was special, and he was in love with her. Or was he? Draco could not recall the last time he had felt something like this. Damn, I have to find out, he thought for the millionth time that day. I've got to find her.
He got up and slowly started to walk towards the castle thinking about Ginny's soft lips against his own, the touch of her hair and how she smelled. He zigzagged his way between the sunbathing students, giving each one of them sour glares. When he reached the entrance of the castle he met his friend Blaise Zabini. The black-haired boy was taller than Draco and had a superior, cocky look on his otherwise beautiful face. Now he was watching Draco with a mischievous smile playing around the corner of his well-shaped mouth.
"What has happened to you, Zabini? You're smiling," Draco said to his friend. Blaise merely winked at him and opened the huge doors and led Draco into the cool interior of the castle.
"I have something I want to show you," Blaise replied and started to walk through the long entrance corridor. Draco followed most reluctantly. Blaise was probably just going to show him a hole in the wall to the girls´ bathroom or something similar. They walked through hallways, went through empty classrooms and through secret corridors that Blaise had found. Their steps echoed as they walked through the empty castle, the students having abandoned it for the warmth of the sun outside. The air inside the castle was chilly and Draco wrapped his robes tighter around his body. After about ten, minutes Draco was tired of walking without a destination and he was just about to turn back when Blaise stopped.
"Here we are," he said with a mysterious smile and turned to Draco's resolute face. Draco rolled his eyes.
"Are you going to tell me what this is about or do I have to kick your ass first?" he asked solemnly. Blaise looked pale for a second before he laughed a short, nervous laugh.
"Hey Draco, easy now. I'll show you," the black-haired boy said as he knocked on a big, heavy-looking door with a door handle of brass shaped like a dog's head. When Draco saw, it he realised where they were.

It was very hot outside in the sun. All Ginny wanted was to go back to the cool interior of the castle. All the girls lay spread across the huge, green lawn by the lake and sunbathed. Ginny squirmed and could not relax. She was thinking about Draco and the kiss again. What did it mean? Did he want her or something? No, that couldn't be it. He had always been so mean to her and her friends. Parvati Patil turned to her.
"Ginny, what's the matter with you? You can't seem to lie still," she said, blocking the sun with her hand. Ginny sighed.
"No, I can't. I'm very uncomfortable and I'm too warm. I think I'll go back inside. A cold shower would be nice." She stood up and buttoned her blouse. "I'll see you guys later," she said and walked back to the school building. Ginny walked all the way back to the common room, feeling sweaty, warm and restless. All the time she could see Draco's face in her head. I need a shower, she thought again and fetched a small, worn-out towel with the letter G on it. She was just about to walk out through the portrait when she heard someone saying her name. She spun around to look. The common room looked empty, but in one of the big chairs near the fireplace someone was sitting. Ginny walked over there.
"Yeah, what is it?" she asked as she approached the person in the chair. Ginny had an odd feeling in her stomach. This can't be good.
"Ginny, I just wanted to apologise to you," said Harry. Ginny tried not to gasp out loud when she saw that it was Harry in the chair. He looked at her with wide, bright eyes. She swallowed.
"What for?" she managed to ask. Her throat suddenly felt very dry. Why did she get all worked up when he was around these days? She had sorted out her feelings for him s long time ago. There was nothing between them, right? Ginny felt confused again. Unaware, she started to twirl a lock of her hair around her finger. Harry had been acting strange around her lately. That could of course be because of the situation with the Death Eaters and the Minister, but Harry knew that it was soon to be sorted out. Voldemort was, after all, dead now. The school and the wizarding world were all right. But was Harry all right?
"You know, I was a jerk this morning. I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. I'm sorry," Harry babbled. Ginny returned to reality and noticed how nervous Harry looked. Was he blushing? It did not make her feel any better about the situation.
"It's okay. I can guess how it must have felt for you when a player is missing and a game is coming up," Ginny replied, giving Harry a weak smile. Harry smiled back at her, meeting her eyes and took her little hand in his big one. Ginny's smile faded. Oh no! Why did he do that? What shall I do? Ginny thought to herself, trying not to panic. She cursed herself for not knowing how to handle a situation like this. Parvati and Lavender would know exactly what to do.
"Yes, I really missed you at practice, but I didn't want to say it this morning in front of Ron and everybody," he said in a low voice, running his thumb over her hand in a slow, sensual way. Ginny paled.
"I...er... have to go now. Must take a shower. Bye," Ginny croaked and turned to go. Harry tried to say something, even tried to reach for her arm, but Ginny ran out through the portrait. She could hear the beat of her heart thumping in her ears in the empty corridor. Now she really needed a shower.

The room was not big, yet it was not small. It was big enough for a group of teenagers to have meetings there, but it was too small to arrange a party or bigger gatherings. Draco looked around the familiar room. The walls were dark wooden panel and the ceiling was also dark. The room had only one small window and it gave the place a gloomy, shadowy feeling. The air felt thicker and warmer in there, although Draco knew it really wasn't. He glanced at the big, round table in the middle of the room. It was made of strong, dark wood and about ten chairs were placed around it. But the table was not interesting. It was what was on the table that made Draco raise an eyebrow. On a piece of red velvet was a big crystal ball. It looked like one of the crystal balls that were used in Divination class. But what was it doing?
"Zabini, tell me what's going on," Draco demanded. "A crystal ball?" Blaise made a face and smiled.
"I know! It's brilliant, isn't it?" he said. Draco gave him an icy and suspicious glare.
"Where did you get it?"
"Oh, it was Goyle who stole it from Divination class. I know he's a slow bastard, but he did it. I charmed it," Blaise announced proudly. Draco glanced at the crystal ball. It looked just like the other ones. He wondered what his friends had done with it.
"What can it do, then?"
"I'll show you," Blaise said and walked over to the table where he sat down in one of the wooden chairs. Draco followed him. The chairs were comfortable but oh, so noisy. Draco stared angrily at his chair.
"My chair is making a racket," he whined. Blaise didn't even look up. He was used to this.
"Can't you call for a house-elf to fix it," Draco continued.
"No, house-elves are not to enter this room, don't you remember? This is our club-room and we have permission from professor Snape to be here, and not to be disturbed."
"Oh, right." Draco remembered when three years earlier, they had asked professor Snape about the club. Draco had been the club-starter. But after a while, he got tired of sneaking around the castle doing all those childish pranks so he let Blaise take over the post as Chairman. "But show me now," Draco said and pointed at the crystal ball. Blaise nodded solemnly and took up his wand and mumbled some words. Nothing happened.
"I'm not impressed," Draco said. Blaise gave him an irritated look.
"I'm working on it. It can be kind of slow sometimes." He made some odd movements with his wand and said some other spells. A white smoke started to swirl around in the ball. It turned grey and then black and it looked very cool, although Draco would never let Blaise know that. Instead Draco looked at it, suspiciously. The smoke disappeared and the very room they were sitting in was shown in the ball. Blaise gave Draco a look of triumph. Draco took a closer look in the ball. He could see himself do the very same thing in the crystal ball.
"Wow," he said, and then he bit his tongue. "But...can't you see any other rooms? It's kind of boring looking at yourself." Blaise pretended he didn't hear the last part and continued to talk instead.
"The cool thing about this ball is that it can show you every room in this castle, which you know of. If I do this," he made a small jerk with the wand "you can see our common room. And if I do this, you can see the kitchen." Draco looked into the crystal ball, impressed. He could indeed see all the rooms, and all the people who were there.
"This must be very practical," he said. Blaise nodded, smiling widely. Then the smile turned into a grin.
"So, which room would you rather see?" He gave Draco a wink. Draco raised a blond eyebrow. He knew what was going to happen now.
"I guess you would want to see the girls´ bathroom, right?" Blasie helped out, sounding a bit stressed.
"Yeah, whatever," Draco sighed. There really were way too many perverted guys in this castle. I'm so lucky I'm not a girl, he thought, the boys would be all over me.
Blaise did some jerks with his wand and mumbled something. Suddenly a big, white, steamy room was visible in the ball. Draco looked at it without real interest. He was sure he could get all girls at school to strip for him any time he liked. There was no one in the room anyway.
"Damn it, there's no one there," Blaise muttered. "Last week we saw Milicent Bulstrode shower, and I'll tell you it wasn't a pretty sight. I had nightmares for half a week," Blaise said and shuddered.
But then Draco saw something that almost made him fall off his chair. A redheaded girl came into the empty bathroom. Her curly red hair hung loosely over her shoulders. It could be none other than Ginny.
"Oh, here comes Weasley! I suppose she's got some body, I mean have you seen those curves? But I doubt no one in the club have ever seen her. They say she's a virgin, you know," Blaise said to Draco. But Draco didn't listen. In the crystal ball, Ginny was taking her pink t-shirt off. She wore a red lacy bra under it. Draco couldn't help but stare. Ginny, Ginny, Ginny, he thought. This was his chance to see her. NO! What am I thinking?! This is wrong, very wrong. He took the ball under his arm- the picture immediately disappeared in white smoke- and took some steps back.
"What the hell are you doing? We'll miss it!" Blaise yelled and tried to reach out for the ball. Draco grabbed his wand and pointed it at Blaise.
"No! Don't come near me. You can't see her, I won't let you." Perverted bastard, he thought.
"So you want her for yourself, eh? I understand, hehe. But I want the ball back tomorrow, okay?"
"Oh, shut it, Zabini. I don't want it for myself, you git-face. I just don't like the thought of horny teenage boys looking at the girls in a crystal ball. It's unfair. You'll have to get them yourselves, like me. But it will of course be harder for you ugly bastards. Too bad everybody can't be as beautiful as me." Draco swung around and left the room before Blaise had a chance to reply.

Ginny dried her messy, wet hair with an easy hairdrying-charm and buttoned her old robes. It had felt nice to shower, but she'd had an odd feeling someone was watching her. She shook her head, grabbed her towel and walked out of the steamy bathroom. She looked at the big old clock on the wall as she passed the Great Hall, it wasn't even lunchtime yet. She would have plenty of time for homework. She headed for Gryffindor Tower, whistling cheerfully to herself. Suddenly, a person came running around the corner and they bumped into each other with a loud smack. Ginny fell back on the hard stone floor and landed on her butt with a thump.
"Ouch!" she wailed. The other person also fell onto the floor, but made no sounds at all. Ginny straightened up, smoothed her robes and pulled her hair out of her face. When she looked down at the person she'd bumped into she winced. It was, of course, Draco Malfoy. He was now sitting up, looking at her with calm, cold eyes. He looked so handsome. Ginny tried to back away, but the hard stone wall of the corridor stopped her and she pressed herself against it. Before she could blink Draco was on his feet, standing less than five inches away from her. He wore black trousers, a thin, grey sweatshirt that clung to his slender muscled torso and the regular school robes. Her brown eyes locked with his steel grey ones.
"Draco!" she gasped in surprise. A smile was playing on the corner of his mouth. So sexy! "What are you...?" Ginny gulped and trailed off, still leaning against the wall and seriously wondering if her knees were going to give out. Draco put a slender finger on her lips.
"I've tried to find you all morning, Weasley," he said, putting a hand on the wall on either side of her. "I couldn't stop thinking about you. And now it seems like I've finally caught you." He leaned closer to her and she could feel his hot breath on her cheeks. It smelled good, like mint and lime. She thought about the kiss earlier and a thousand butterflies suddenly started to fly around in her stomach. He surveyed her hungrily, as if thinking about what part of her he'd start to eat. "So what shall I do with you now that I've got you? What do you think, Weasley? Perhaps I should continue what I started this morning? "
"Draco, don't be ridiculous." Ginny bit her lip, cheeks colouring with slight embarrassment.
"I'm dead serious." Draco's eyes stopped at Ginny's lips.
"You can't do this!"
"Watch me." And with that, he pressed his lips against Ginny's, gently snaking his wet, hot tongue into her mouth in a soft but wild kiss that made Ginny's head spin. Draco pulled his arms around Ginny's waist and drew her closer to him, pressing their bodies together. Oh. Holy. Fuck, she thought and let her hands find their way to his neck. This could lead to nothing good, but at the moment, Ginny didn't give the future any thought at all. Now it was only her and Draco.
***
Draco could not believe how it had happened. The only thing he knew for certain was how perfect his and Ginny's mouths and bodies fit together. It felt so right; Draco had never felt so right about anything in his life before. He pressed her against the hard wall, knocking the wind out of her. She didn't seem to care. They were probably making a lot of noise, their soft moans and other sounds echoed down the empty hallway. She exhaled her hot breath against his lips, whispering something. Did she enjoy it as much as he did? Probably. Draco was so busy kissing and exploring Ginny's face that he didn't hear the quick and angry steps approaching behind them. But then, suddenly, a strong hand grabbed hold of Draco's shoulder, parting him from Ginny. The person threw him hard to the floor which Draco landed on with a muffled "Oooompf". He could hear Ginny gasp.
"What the FUCK are you doing, Malfoy?" Harry Potter was screaming in his ear. Draco tried to sit up, but he got a hard push on his ribcage, making him fall back on the floor again. He could see Harry standing over him, looking really pissed off. Draco had never seen him so angry before. Why is he so angry? He hasn't got anything to do with this...unless he is ...Oooops. I think I stole his girl. Not good. Draco maintained a bored expression on his face, but felt a little nervous inside.
"What does it look like, Potter? I'm snogging your best friend's sister," Draco replied, defiantly meeting Harry's eyes. Harry turned even redder than he already was. Heads were about to roll.
"I'm going to kill you, Malfoy," he growled. Draco raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, now you've got me terrified. I'm shaking, actually," Draco drawled, giving Harry a nasty smile. Harry made a guttural sound and threw himself onto Draco, punching him with both hands at once. Draco barely had the time to react, but he managed to pull Harry away for a second or two.
"You're...going...to pay...for that...Potter," Draco snarled, as he and Harry wrestled on the floor. He quickly rolled over so that Harry was under him and climbed on top of the other boy, hands locking his wrists above his head, before he had time to resist.
"Get the hell OFF me!" Harry shouted into Draco's face, and fought back for all he was worth. Ginny screamed something and tried to separate the two, but without success. Draco´s nose was bleeding and he could feel the taste of blood in his mouth too. He had managed to give Harry a black eye and his nose was bleeding too. Draco smirked at Harry, a victorious sparkle in his eyes.
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?" Four strong hands slowly parted Harry and Draco, who were still fighting at full strength. Professor McGonagall's stern face and one of the Hogwarts prefects appeared in sight. Draco forced his aroused body to calm down. Oh shit, he thought.
