Chapter 1: Ginny's Perspective

Ginny silently stood in silence by the stove, while waiting on her hot tea. Her mother had always said when you were down and needed some aromatherapy, a fresh hot cup of tea would do it. She hadn't had anything in over a week, besides tea. Ginny's stomach just couldn't take it, or at least, not yet.

At times, especially in the mornings when her mother would surprise her by fixing her breakfast or Molly would come over just to have tea and a chat time with her, when the time was convenient. She would always get out the tea grounds, the teapot, the spoons, the sugar, and even at times, she'd make little pieces of bread to go along with it.

There was always a sense of her mother's touch, even in her own kitchen. Now, those times during the day were empty. There was nothing there but time and silence. It seemed like a cloudy day everyday now. It was like a completely neutral kitchen it seemed. There was nothing that could or would help Ginny at this time.

Ginny had always found the one source of courage and happiness when she needed it most in times that life was rough on her. Except this time, her mother hadn't been there to give her that comfort that she needed. She was lost to her family; her greater ancestors had called her home, for good. Molly Weasley, wife of Arthur Weasley, and mother of seven children: Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, Ron and of course Virginia, was no longer there. The cause of her death, was according to the doctors, was unknown. They still didn't know. There was nothing to prove of her death, only that she was no longer breathing and no longer living.

Ginny hadn't expected this sudden turn in her life, her mother's death, or the fact that her boyfriend Harry had finally come to his senses and realized he loved Hermione, before even bringing up the courage to face Ginny and call it quits. Instead, Harry had gone the cheating route. Ginny had walked into his apartment one day and immediately dropped the bag of clothes she had gotten while shopping the previous hours when she saw Harry was kissing, more like playing tonsil hockey, with Hermione and leading her into his bedroom. This wasn't what she expected. What she did expect was to see Harry sitting on his leather couch in front of the TV watching the most recent quidditch game. The Icy Devils vs. the Flaming Jaguars, both of which were undefeated.

Her friend... Hermione. Oh, how she despised her so at this moment. She had never known Hermione to even think of doing what was being displayed right before Ginny's eyes. But yet, that's what she did see. She wondered if see it, but then remembering the events that happened afterwards, proved to her that she was not just waking up from a horrible nightmare.

Ginny thought her heart had broken and shattered to pieces at that moment. Before she could respond instead of watching, her legs her running as fast as they could go out the door, meaning to break a few dishes as she went also. He never did mention anything about those dishes.

But now, she had other things to work out. Besides, that was almost 3 months ago, she should have already gotten over Harry, right? No, she hadn't. Now, she had more on her plate than she could ever have imagined.

Ginny now had a baby to plan for, in seven months to be exact. In fact, the baby that she carried was conceived the night that she had caught Harry with Hermione. To be honest, all she remembered of that night was going into a pub, getting drunk and ending up in a stranger's bed the next morning with one hell of a headache pounding every minute that she breathed. It wasn't what she did normally, go out to a club, and wake up in a complete stranger's bed. She'd never do that, if it wasn't set upon the earlier previous events that she happened to witness only hours before she awoke that morning.

Ginny finished the letter to the father of her child, sent it off and waited for a response back in the meantime. Her thoughts slipped back to her mother. Oh how she missed her mother. Molly was practically the only one that Ginny knew that really understood her. And now, she was gone. Ginny began to weep and grieve for her mother.

The water for her tea began to boil as Ginny stood there, her hands over her still flat belly. She hadn't even realized she had moved. Tears had welled in her eyes, and a knot began to form in her throat as the realization that she was completely alone fell over her. Molly was gone...

A single tear slid down her cheek as the tea pot whistled shrilly.
