An attempt at kindness goes wrong. Harry, Ron and Hermione are put into a state of general misery. But this is a story about friends after all. It'll all work out in the end. My debut into the Harry Potter fanfic world, written back on 07-31-00. I figured I'd post it here just so you all could see how my writing has changed. Slight shounen-ai implications if you want them to be. If not, hopefully this will at least spur thought.

Dante Summer is transferring to Hogwarts in his fourth year. His mother, Isabella, is having some financial troubles, and the only person she can think to ask for help is his father, Lucius Malfoy. Between adapting to a new school, being cursed around every corner, and falling for a girl two years younger than him, this should be an interesting year for Draco's half brother.

Harry participates in the final, public destruction of Voldemort.

Ron knew that his feelings for Harry were wrong, however he``wanted to know if there was any chance for him to get in Harry's life.
