Tonks/Remus friendship fluff. Tonks wanted to do something nice, and her day ended up going very, very bad.

"All the newspapers did stories on him, on how cracked up he is, and how it’s such a joke that their savior went completely bonkers in the end... and I won’t tolerate it any more. He isn’t insane. He’s in grief." Harry's in St. Mungo's because he, apparently, went insane after the fight where he killed Voldemort. Hermione know's he's not insane, but nobody will listen. She tells the tale of what went on in the final battle and visits Harry in his final moments. WARNING! Mass character death.

Harry's seventh year is just beginning, but when two new members of staff are being more mysterious than helpful, two wild horses have mysteriously appeared in the grounds and Dumbledore is back, Harry, Ron and Hermione are in for a bumpy ride... *slightly AU, character death later on, rating for final chapters*

It's quiet in here. And dark. Moonlight has been blocked out by thick, black curtains. Certainly Madam Pomfrey's work. It annoys me; I like to watch the faint glow of the moon and the stars dancing on the ceiling at night. It must be about two or three o'clock in the morning. I smell the cup of tea that was brought to me a few hours ago and which I ignored on my bedside table. It's probably stone cold by now. I don't want it. I don't want any of this anymore. Voldemort is dead, yet so is Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived. How did it get to that? Ginny, supposedly sleeping in the hospital wing, thinks about the events... and the day after.

Chuckling despite herself, she answered Draco. "Funny... I always saw you as more the 'morally ambiguous' type." Draco, Ginny, secret rooms, masks... and the shades of gray that tie them all together.

Written for a "Veil of Possibilities" challenge, and definitely AU. Sirius is guilty of all he was charged of, and is at Hogwarts tormenting Remus. The Sirius we know is travelling through the realms connected by the Veil, and has to help Remus get free.
