Their magical skill is so great, the three have passed up the skills of even Dumbledore, yet are only old enough to be in their fifth year. What everyone doesn't know, is that these three are in the league with the dark lord, Voldemort, and are only there to try and take over Hogwarts. Throughout the year, the three come to know emotions they never knew before, such as true happiness, joy, and love, which makes their time at Hogwarts quite...interesting.

After speaking with Igor Karkaroff at the Yule Ball in "Goblet of Fire," Snape reflects upon his past. What choices did he make upon his path to becoming a Death Eater, and what choices were made for him? He was led into temptation, but broken and betrayed, he cannot deliver himself from bitterness. Time is supposed to heal all wounds, but there are some marks it can never erase. Even in the dark of winter, however, there is always hope of spring. Snape/Karkaroff slash.
