"Harry!" I scream and I quickly grab the boy before he goes right in after him. I'm saying words although they don't make much sense, all I can think is that I have to hold him. He hits me again and again in his struggle, beating against my chest as he tries to break free. It was instinct, I think. I certainly don't remember using any strength to hold him back - even though I remember him struggling so fiercely against me. Then again, I've always been strong. It's part of my nature. Remus spends a moment alone after Sirius' death.

But now, as Sirius watches James prepare to settle into a new life with Lily, he knows that he can’t keep his feelings inside anymore. So with one slow dance, and a quiet confession, his life changes, and not necessarily for the better.

Sirius, Peter, Remus and James get a mangled glimpse of the future, which, for two members of the group, has a lasting effect. Set in the MWPP era.

Yep. Another fifth year fic. Yep, another Dumbledore has a daughter. But hey, they quarrel, she hates him, he treats her like a child.... Some human relationships can't be done too often. There's always more to explore. A girl with a thorny personality, Dumbledore's eyes minus the twinkle, a chip on her shoulder roughly the size of the moon, and oh yeah, a crush she never grew out of. And has to act as the new DADA teacher. She can handle anything but her emotions and her father. An attempt to look at a less than perfect Dumbledore. And maybe a sideways glance at some of his less than brilliant ideas. (Even he has those, like practicing inappropriate charms on a woman in a foreign ministry...)

Regina in turn was watching Sirius. He looked exactly like her mother had described him. His black hair was scraggly but at least it was clean. His blue eyes were bright and clear like the Caribbean waters around St. Thomas that Professor Xavier had taken them to celebrate Regina's seventeenth birthday. She ducked her head slightly when she noticed him staring at her. His dazzling smile made her grin softly.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the course of my life it’s that a person’s expectations are liable to fall flat.
